Many consider Julia Roberts to be one of the main sex symbols of Hollywood in the 1990s, and the star consistently ranks in lists of the most beautiful actresses. In a recent interview with People magazine, Roberts shared that she is not entirely satisfied with her appearance in her youth. The actress revealed the advice she would give to her younger self:
“Stand up straighter. Everything will be fine. Just don’t overpluck your eyebrows.”
This is not the first time that a celebrity has publicly expressed regret about the appearance of their eyebrows in their youth. For instance, Julianne Moore recently admitted that she regularly advises her 21-year-old daughter, Liv, against experimenting with this facial feature:
“There’s one thing I constantly say: don’t touch your eyebrows. Don’t destroy your eyebrows like I did and countless women I know.”
This summer, actress Charlize Theron also confessed to regretting eyebrow experiments. In an interview with InStyle, she shared:
“I’m still recovering from the era of overplucked eyebrows. My worst beauty mistake was the thin eyebrows of the 1990s.”
