TikToker’s emotional reaction to passing bar exams after grandparents re-mortgaged home to cover law school fees goes viral

There are few things sweeter in life than accomplishing hard goals you have set yourself.

Some goals are small ones that might only take a day or week to realize. Others can require years of hard work and dedication, and even then there’s no guarantee. The harder the goal, the better the sense of satisfaction at the end of the journey, irrespective of how long it is.

That’s likely why a TikTok video showing the moment a young girl finds out she has passed her bar exams has proven so immensely popular. If you want to see something inspirational today, or need cheering up in any way, read on below…

As per reports, Seren Lewis, based in Cardiff, Wales, completed a masters degree in Manchester, England before attempting to pass the bar.

It’s a notoriously difficult feat, and one that requires not just extreme amounts of dedication, hard work and sacrifice, but also a deal of financial help that some just don’t have access to.

In a TikTok video uploaded early this year, Seren, who was successful in her endeavor, stated: “Passing the bar and qualifying as a barrister is my biggest accomplishment to date.

“However it would have never happened without my grandparents who I can only be forever grateful for. Taking me in at 2 years old and retiring early to care for a toddler was the most selfless act anyone could have done for me.”

She continued: “Bar school is extremely expensive and is still so inaccessible to the majority of people living in the UK. To be able to attend, they decided to remortgage their house that they had paid off so many years ago and without that, I would not be where I am today.”

Unsurprisingly, Seren’s TikTok spread like wildfire and has been viewed over nine million times.

So, as much as this acheivement is down to my hard work and MANY late nights, I share this acheivement with them.

I don’t know about you, but watching other people succeeding in life just fills me with a warm sense of joy.

The kind of sacrifice Seren’s grandparents made for her really is commendable. Not only that, but the fact that their decision was paid back in kind by all of Seren’s hard work makes this story a beautiful one to read.
